2007 Neighborhood Olympics
Competition & Fun For All!
(see photos)
Close to 400 Neighborhood students, families, friends, and
staff enjoyed a beautiful, sunshiny Saturday on October 6, 2007, in the 2nd Annual
Neighborhood Olympics here on the school grounds. From registration, to opening ceremonies
(with the parade around the competition field and the "Star Spangled Banner" by
Kindergartner Jerzee), to fun and fierce competition, to crafts, a jump house, a treasure
sand box, dunking the staff in the dunk tank, a yummy barbecue lunch, and finally the
awards ceremony, this year's Olympics was a great day of fun and fellowship for all!
We want to thank all of our sponsors, families, and
Neighborhood Builders for their generous donations, all of our local merchants and
families who donated time, labor, and materials for the event, all of our staff and
volunteers who did a great job from decorations to all the activities, and all of the
students, family, and friends who attended and participated, making this year's Olympics a
resounding success!
We look forward to next year's Olympics! Until then, please
enjoy hundreds of snapshots of this year's Olympics! (click here to see photos)

the craft table, face painting, and a scrumptious barbecue lunch, the 450 or so attending
had a terrific time of fun, fellowship, and really helped to make this a tremendously
successful fundraiser for Neighborhood! We couldn't have been more pleased!"
"We want to thank the many alumni, staff, and staff spouses for helping in all
aspects of the Olympics," added Bushey. "Special thanks go to the Mistler family
and Grand Rental for donating the jum p house, dunk tank, and a terrific balloon archway
le ading to the event area, and to the Kemp family for the use of their large barbecue
