It is our hope that the students at Neighborhood Christian School not only mature academically, physically, and emotionally, but that they also mature spiritually in their relationship and walk with Christ. Our vision of Motivating, Equipping, and Training students to know God and make Him known is at the core of who we are as a staff and a school. God's plan is to reach all nations, all people groups, with the knowledge of Him and His Word. Educating these students about His plan, and what missions is all about, is part of what we hope to impart to our students.

EnsenadaBeing blessed in so many ways, living next door to Mexico, and having Spanish taught to students in all grades, provides a great opportunity to put to work what the students have been learning. Beginning last year, the sixth grade class travels to the Youth With A Mission (YWAM) based in Ensenada, Mexico (a little less than two hours south of the border), for a one week glimpse of mission work.

In the week-long stay, the students, parents, and staff have opportunities to witness to and show the love of Jesus to  children and adults in the outlying villages around Ensenada and Maneadero. Through dramas, songs, testimonies, and one-on-one conversations, the students are able to share about Jesus with the Mexican people. Our goal is to bless these people, but it always seems that we are the ones getting so blessed!

These trips are documented here for your enjoyment and we hope and pray that your heart might be touched by what you see and read, so that you, too, will want to serve God in missions. Not everyone is called to go, but all can support missions in one way or another. Feel free to contact any staff member for more information on how you might get involved in God's plan for the world!
